Personality & Social Life
Rubix is a social butterfly. He is phenomenal with children of all ages and gets along famously with other dogs. While he hasn’t met a cat yet, his sweet nature suggests he’d be just fine with a slow, proper introduction.
When he’s not playing, he's giving your face a wash down with kisses! He loves nothing more than giving kisses, snuggling up to watch a show (with a toy that can occupy him), or chasing after his favorite mini tennis balls.
Working on the "Puzzle" (Training)
Every Rubix Cube needs a little patience to get the colors to line up! Because he started life as a stray, he’s still learning the ropes of "indoor life":
Foodie at Heart: Since food used to be hard to find, he’s a bit obsessed with human plates. He’s learning that the kitchen table isn’t a buffet, but he may try to "counter surf" with those short legs!
House Training: He’s almost there! He goes outside like a champ when prompted, but he’s still working on his "signal" to tell you when it’s time to go.
Finding His Confidence: He barks when new people come to the door or when he sees someone on a walk. He’s not being mean—just a little nervous! He’s learning every day that the world isn’t a scary place. Other than that he is quiet as a mouse.
Over-Excitement: When he gets really wound up, he might mouth or mount (standard puppy stuff). He redirects beautifully with a Bully Stick or a treat-filled toy, and he loves retreating to his "cave" (crate) to decompress when he needs a break.
The Perfect Match
Rubix Cube is looking for a family that understands he’s still a young dog finding his way. He needs a home that will continue his training with love and provide plenty of chew toys to keep his busy mind occupied.
