Jacinto

Adopted

Description

Male, 4 years, Lab X, 44 lbs

Jacinto is an amazing dog. He is incredibly laid back and calm, loves to play with toys and can be so goofy tossing them around for himself and pouncing on them. He is equally as happy snuggling for hours on the couch.

He is fully housetrained and as he gets comfortable he will go wait quietly by the door and wait to be let out. He did try to mark the first day, but we watched carefully and corrected him with a poke to the side and an "ah" and he corrected and didn't lift his leg again.

He is great in the crate and feels comfortable just hanging out for a nap in there. Does not make a peep at bedtime and sleeps the whole night through.

He has been great with our puppy and senior dog and if he feels overwhelmed will just hop up on the couch to indicate he is done playing. He is unsure of the cats, about 75 percent of the time will pay them no mind but if they do catch his attention he will give a growl and a chase.

Jacinto is FABULOUS with kids of all ages. We have a 12 year old and friends brought their young children 4 and 5 over and he spends most of his time chilling with the kids, I would love to see him go to a home with children! He loves anyone who comes through the door especially if they give him pets. The vet and assistants all fell in love with him at his appointment.

Though I was told he wasn't leash trained he does walk very well with our dogs on leash, lots of sniffing and exploring, no pulling so I would say he does very well.

He will be shy and unsure at first and didn't eat much the first day, but this amazing boy just needs a secure forever home where he will be loved and snuggled!

Jacinto is being fostered in Edmonton.
