Eugene is a sweet, loving boy with the perfect balance of energy and relaxation. He’s happy to play for hours, but he’s just as content curling up to watch TV with you. Despite being a big, gentle giant, he still thinks he’s a lap dog!
He’s incredibly well house-trained and has wonderful manners around the house. He won’t get into things he’s not supposed to, and he won’t even hop up on the couch for cuddles unless he’s invited.
While Eugene isn’t the biggest fan of his kennel, he’ll happily go in to eat his meals or grab his toys. His absolute favorite treat is a peanut butter-filled Kong, and he always loves having a stuffed animal to nibble on and cuddle with.
He’s almost fully leash-trained and walks very well. The only time he’ll pull is if he spots a squirrel or rabbit, but as soon as it’s out of sight, he’s right back to walking nicely.
Eugene does well with most dogs, but he thrives with larger, calmer dogs and benefits from slow, proper introductions.
More than anything, Eugene loves attention and affection. If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who will happily be by your side, Eugene is your guy!
