Tex is looking for a foster home where he can feel safe, settled, and supported. He would do best in a home without another young, high-energy dog, as that can increase his excitement and make it harder for him to settle. A calm environment—or a relaxed dog—would suit him best.
Tex is a dream in the home. He sleeps quietly in his crate all night without a fuss, stays on the main level, and keeps off the furniture. He’s incredibly well-behaved and happiest when he’s close to his person—he just wants to be beside you (or on you, if you let him!).
He can be a bit unsure around men. He may bark initially, but settles within minutes once he realizes he’s safe. On walks, he may growl if a man approaches, not out of aggression, but to communicate that he’s uncomfortable. With simple management—like stepping aside and giving space—he does just fine.
Tex is an active boy and would thrive with a foster who can provide morning and evening walks. This routine really helps him burn energy, relax, and be his best self at home.
