Meet Hoss 🐾
Hoss is a 40-pound bundle of chill with just the right amount of playful energy. He’s the kind of dog who’s equally happy joining you for a walk or claiming his spot as your official relaxation supervisor.
This gentle, confident guy takes life in stride. He settled into his foster home like he’d always been there and gets along great with both the resident dogs and his foster parent. No drama, no fuss, just good vibes.
Hoss is fully house trained and has never had an accident, even when left alone for 6–8 hours. At night, he transforms into a full-on couch potato, happily snoozing on a dog bed at the foot of the bed, stretched out like he pays the mortgage.
When it comes to food, Hoss is a fan of it all. Homemade meals, kibble, treats, you name it. He’s not food aggressive and keeps things neat, though every now and then he forgets his manners and gets a little too excited about treats.
He loves his daily walks and is excellent on a leash. He’s friendly and curious about both people and other dogs, always happy to say hello without being over the top.
Hoss is a top-tier snuggler but also always up for some playtime. While we’re not sure how he feels about cats, he’s been great with kids he’s met on walks. He does have a bit of a jumping habit when he gets excited, so a home with older children would be the best fit while he continues working on his manners.
Car rides? No problem. Hoss usually just curls up and naps like it’s his full-time job. At home, he’ll give you a heads-up bark when someone’s at the door, then settles right down once you’ve got it handled. He may also bark at outdoor critters, but he listens well and stops when asked.
Hoss is looking for a forever home where he can keep being his easygoing, lovable self. If you want a calm, friendly dog who’s equal parts cuddle buddy and walking companion, Hoss is ready to move in and make himself comfortable. 💛
