Chester is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart. He’s a calm, gentle companion who loves being close to his people and will happily lean in for affection whenever he gets the chance. If you’re looking for a loyal, easygoing dog who enjoys simply being part of the family, Chester might be your perfect match.
In our home, Chester has shown just how patient and kind he is—especially with young children. He’s been wonderful with our kids, including a baby, always gentle and tolerant, even in busy moments. His steady, relaxed nature makes him a comforting presence in a family setting.
Chester has excellent house manners. He’s crate trained, rarely barks, and is respectful of household boundaries (including staying off furniture). He settled into our home quickly with very little stress, showing how adaptable and easygoing he truly is.
Chester enjoys his walks and is a lovely companion on the leash. He passes people calmly and is happy to explore alongside his person. However, he’s still learning how to stay focused when other dogs or small animals are nearby and benefits from some redirection, but he’s making progress and is eager to keep learning. He’s also continuing to build his confidence with basic commands.
Chester would do well in a home that can offer him consistency, affection, and continued positive training. He would do best in a home without cats. In return, he’ll give you steady companionship, a calm presence, and lots of quiet love.
