Meet Cheyenne – your future shadow, snuggle bug, and part-time flying squirrel 🐾
Cheyenne had an incredibly smooth transition into foster care and settled in like she’s always belonged. She quickly became best friends with her foster brother, Johnny Cash (a Boxer/Pitbull cross), and absolutely loves having another dog around. While she’s still very much a playful puppy and Johnny occasionally has to remind her that constant playtime isn’t required, Cheyenne takes those cues beautifully - she’ll immediately roll onto her back in the most submissive, “okay okay, I get it!” way. Because of this, she would likely thrive in a home with another dog to keep her company and show her the ropes.
This girl is smart and eager to learn. She’s very food motivated, which has made training a breeze, and she’s already almost fully house trained. Cheyenne is also crate trained - she heads into her kennel for meals (so she doesn’t help herself to someone else’s dinner) and sleeps quietly through the night until it’s time to start the day… at which point she wakes up ready to go at full speed.
Cheyenne may have been the runt of her litter, but she makes up for it with personality. She loves being on her people - literally. Whether it’s climbing onto Johnny or curling up directly on top of you, she just wants to be as close as possible. She’s incredibly friendly, loves belly rubs, and has no shortage of affection to give.
She’s still got plenty of puppy energy and enthusiasm, including a pretty impressive vertical leap - this girl can jump! Because of that (and her excitement around people), she’d do best in a home with older kids while she continues to learn her manners.
Cheyenne has been great in the car and walks well on leash. She’s still working on her excitement around other dogs and may try to bounce toward them, but she’s easy to manage and improving every day. Like any young pup, she’s also got a playful mischievous streak - she loves collecting shoes from the front door and “gifting” them to you, and tissues in the garbage don’t stand a chance.
At the end of the day, Cheyenne is exactly what you’d expect from a young pup: sweet, energetic, affectionate, and just a little bit chaotic in the most lovable way. She adores her people, lives for playtime, and will happily snuggle right on top of you when it’s time to relax.
