Meet Buckle (aka Bucky!) 🐾

This confident, charming gentleman has truly mastered the art of balanced living—equal parts playful buddy and professional nap enthusiast. Buckle is the kind of dog who knows what he likes, and what he likes most is you. Whether it’s curling up beside you for an all-day cuddle session or quietly keeping you company, he’s happiest being close to his people.

Buckle is a laid-back socialite—he gets along well with other dogs but prefers calm companions who respect his personal space. Think “friendly neighbor” rather than “life of the party.” At home, he’s a total pro: fully house-trained, non-destructive, and perfectly content snoozing in his own bed right next to yours. He’s also kennel-trained and settles in nicely after a brief protest.

This sweet boy enjoys car rides, leisurely walks, and taking his time to sniff everything the world has to offer. He’s still polishing up his leash manners, but his small size keeps things easy and manageable. When he’s not out exploring, you might catch him playing with his toys—or even showing off a few adorable dance moves!

Buckle will politely alert you if someone passes by, but he’s responsive and easily redirected with a simple “no.” He hasn’t shown any signs of resource guarding and does well with routine boundaries like separate mealtimes. Baths aren’t his favorite, but he’s making steady progress—especially with post-walk paw cleanups.

He hasn’t yet been tested with cats or children and hasn’t been left alone for more than a few hours, so a home that can continue to guide him gently would be ideal.

Buckle would thrive in a calm, cozy home where he can enjoy plenty of naps, daily walks, and lots of love. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate, low-key companion who will happily be your shadow, Buckle is your guy.
