Meet Teriyaki, the happiest boy who will surely be your best companion in no time.
Teri (for short), made the trek from California on the June 13th Bakersfield transport with 37 other pups who had a second chance at life after living in a high kill shelter.
This young pup is energetic and eager to please, with the perfect blend of affection and play.
For the first time, Teri is experiencing life in a home, and quickly warmed up to finding his favourite spot on the couch, favourite toy, all the new snacks, and receiving love and attention from humans.
All that aside, Teri’s true love is the outdoors and where he feels most comfortable. For the majority of the time, the back door is open for the dogs to come in or out as they please. He does his business outside, and has only had a few accidents inside.
Teri finds joy in bringing every toy outside like there’s a prize at the bottom of the toy basket. He has not yet been able to fit three toys in his mouth at once, though his effort persists.
On walks, Teri can sometimes have a slower pace but usually finds his spunky energy along the way.
Teri is learning how to settle and occupy himself in the crate while his fosters are at work. This is a current work in progress, and learning that his people will come back. He sleeps all night in his crate no problem.
He has a true people personality. He is a very social playful dog, who would thrive in an active home or with another dog in the house to keep him company.
