BackAntonio (Jax)
Adopted
Description
Male, 4 years, chihuahua/pug X, 21 lbs
Jax is the sweetest boy. He is happiest snuggled in your lap or next to you on the couch. He loves belly rubs, treats and naps. He is a gentle boy and has done well in a house with an 8 year old.
Jax is crate trained although he needs a little convincing to go in, he settles quite quickly. He does however struggle with some anxiety and will occasionally cry for a few minutes in his crate when we leave the house without him. He does like to go in the car and settles fairly well but can get excited at all the things outside. He does best with a seat belt since he also thinks he should drive.
Jax is well trained in the house and he knows to sit by the back door when he wants to go out. He is generally well mannered inside. He knows basic commands like no, sit and drop it. He is a smart boy and has the potential to learn more with time and practice.
Jax struggles with other dogs and tends to bark and pull the leash when he sees them. We have been working on this and he has improved on the leash but will require more training to become proficient.
Jax is an affectionate and loyal boy who would do best in a furever home that has a fairly predictable schedule where someone is at home most of the time.
Jax is being fostered in Edmonton.
