🌸 Meet Miso! 🌸
Miso is just about the cutest, happiest, goodest girl there ever was. She has an infectious joy about her that makes it nearly impossible to have a bad day around her. Upbeat, brave, affectionate, and endlessly adaptable, Miso is the kind of dog who seems to take life as it comes and tackle it all with a happy heart and a wagging whole body.
At just over a year old, Miso still has plenty of puppy energy, and she’s a bit like a spinning top: either she’s on the move, exploring the world and making friends, or she’s fast asleep recharging for her next adventure. Everything about her is endearing, from her goofy enthusiasm to the way her whole body wiggles when she tries to wag her tail.
One of the most remarkable things about Miso is just how brave she is. New experiences don’t seem to stop her for long. Whether it’s stairs, cars, leashes, or unfamiliar situations, she may pause for a second and look to her person for reassurance, but then she bravely marches forward and figures it out. Her resilience, confidence, and willingness to try are truly something special.
Miso loves everyone. Men, women, kids, dogs, rabbits, gophers, stuffed animals… if it exists, Miso is probably hoping to be its friend. She has been wonderfully social in her foster home and has done beautifully with dogs of all sizes. She seems to navigate dog dynamics very naturally, knowing when to be submissive and when to confidently push to the front of the line.
She’s also a world-class cuddler. Miso loves being close to her people and is happiest when she can hang out right beside them. While her foster works from home, Miso spends most of the day snoozing under the desk with a little collection of stuffed animals gathered around her. It’s every bit as adorable as it sounds.
Miso has also discovered that treats are one of life’s greatest gifts. Cheese in particular has made quite the impression, and if there’s even a hint of it in the air, she’ll be there in a flash. Watching her discover soft blankets, tasty treats, and the joy of being spoiled has been one of the sweetest parts of her journey. She rubs and tunnels herself into blankets like she can’t quite believe something so cozy exists.
She is doing wonderfully in her crate. While she doesn’t choose to go in there for comfort, she settles quietly once placed inside for bedtime or when left alone and happily sleeps through the night without a peep. She also has no noticeable separation anxiety and is perfectly content to relax in her crate until her people return.
Miso is also a fantastic walking buddy. She loves getting out for walks, sniffing all the good smells, and taking in the world around her. She’s still learning leash manners and can do a bit of criss-crossing as she goes, but she’s making steady progress as she becomes more comfortable and familiar with her surroundings. She’s a trooper and is always happy to keep going.
She rides well in the car and is happy to come along for adventures, though she’d always prefer to be as close to her people as possible, so some safe restraint is recommended for everyone’s benefit.
Miso arrived completely un-housetrained, but she has already made incredible progress. With just a little more time, patience, and consistency, there’s every reason to believe she’ll have it mastered.
Miso isn’t much of a barker either. Aside from the occasional adorable little arhoo or yip during zoomies, she’s a very quiet girl. No barking, no whining, no fuss — just lots of happiness and love.
Miso is truly something special. She is resilient, joyful, affectionate, and so full of life. She’s going to make an incredible companion for one very lucky person or family, and whoever gets to call her theirs is going to absolutely adore her. 💕
