Meet Gazpacho (aka George)!
George is an approximately 14-month-old Chihuahua/Corgi mix with a big personality packed into a little body. This goofy little guy started out scared and unsure of the world around him, but he has quickly blossomed into a playful, funny, and affectionate companion who loves being part of the family.

George currently lives with a 6-pound Chihuahua and a dog-savvy cat. He loves trying to engage his Chihuahua friend in games of chase and has even managed to convince him to join in on the fun. He's respectful when another pet lets him know they're not interested in playing and is learning good manners every day. He also does well with his feline roommate. While he occasionally gets a little too close in an attempt to initiate play, he backs off when the cat lets him know she's not interested.

George would thrive in a home with another small, confident dog who enjoys playing and can help show him the ropes. He can be a little insecure when faced with new situations, so he needs a patient family that will allow him to move at his own pace. Once he feels safe, his sweet, goofy personality shines through.

One of George's funniest quirks is his self-appointed role as head of the neighborhood watch. He enjoys keeping an eye on the street and will often let out a muffled "woof" accompanied by a low growl when people walk by. On rare occasions, he'll bark if a dog ventures a little too close to his yard. The audacity!

George is great in the car and enjoys riding along for adventures. He's also wonderful on leash and enjoys getting out to explore.

George sleeps through the night in his crate like a champ. While he won't usually go into the crate on his own, he settles in nicely once he's inside. He may whine briefly at bedtime, but it doesn't last long, and he quickly settles down and sleeps soundly through the night.

George is about 90% potty trained and continues to make excellent progress. He's starting to let his people know when he needs to go outside and does best when kept on a regular potty schedule. Like many young dogs, he may have the occasional accident if his cues are missed, but he's learning quickly and becoming more reliable every day.

One area where George truly shines is his crate training. He happily holds his bladder overnight and has never had an accident in his crate. With consistency and routine, we expect him to be fully house-trained in no time.

Like many sensitive dogs, George can occasionally become nervous when his leash is being attached and may have a small submissive pee. This is happening less and less as his confidence grows, and he continues to make progress every day.
