Soy, also known as Cheddar, came about her nickname after an incident involving a block of cheese. Soy makes her food preferences known; good thing she has such discerning taste!
Soy is a petite easygoing gal who, after warming up to new folks, is an attentive and loyal companion. She is incredibly gentle and enjoys being close to her people. She is chill around the house, but up for an adventure whenever you are- whether that’s out for a hike, long walk or strolling down the street as you do some shopping- bonus if the stores have yummy treats behind the counter!
Soy is a quiet girl who has yet to utter a bark and combined with her petite stature, makes a great choice for condo-living. Can you take your dog to work? She’s your gal! Work from home; also, your gal! Retired and looking for that dog who can go anywhere with you? Come get er!
While out for walks, Soy appears curious about other dogs but unphased by those who bark or display other nonsense. She appreciates when other dogs approach her with good manners and isn’t afraid to appropriately correct those who don’t. She would likely benefit from another dog in her home to bring out her playful side and help her navigate times when her family needs to leave her alone.
Soy has had a tough start and will need a good deal of support to overcome her separation anxiety. Her ideal home will be one where her new family doesn’t have to be away from her for long periods of time and will utilize available tools and resources to help reduce her anxiety when alone. This sweet girl just needs a kind and patient family to work through this with her and in return, they will have an amazing addition to their family who is wonderful in so many ways!
