Randy is a sweet boy with a colourful personality and more love than he can contain in his surprisingly large body.
As a medium-high energy dog, Randy makes a wonderful companion for all kinds of adventures, from runs in the park to cozy snuggles on rainy days. He handles car rides very well and is always happy to join his people on the go! He’s building his confidence with the hustle and bustle of city life and getting more comfortable every day. New places may take a little time to get used to, but once Randy settles in, he’s happy to lead the way and show you his favourite routes. He walks well on leash and is working on learning that local wildlife is best admired from a distance! With some gentle guidance, he can watch birds and squirrels contently before moving on. What Randy loves most is soaking up the adoration and attention of his people, and he isn’t afraid to get a little sassy when he thinks he’s overdue for some!
Randy is a big, goofy puppy at heart, and he’s still learning all the ins and outs of being a dog. Luckily, he’s eager to learn, picks things up every day, and is making great progress! Randy is crate-trained, although he prefers having the door open when possible. He does well in a small room during work hours, especially when left with a tasty treat to enjoy. He is also making great progress with potty training and is learning to consistently let his people know when he needs to go. With continued consistency, he should have this down in no time!
Randy can be easily startled by loud noises, so he would do best with older children who understand and respect doggy boundaries. Because of his high prey drive, cats will need a very slow and thoughtful introduction, while smaller animals would not be a good match. Randy would also benefit from having a confident canine companion who can keep up with his size and playful puppy energy.
Randy is a lovable, goofy guy who is growing more confident every day. With patience, guidance, and plenty of opportunities to learn, he’ll make a fun and affectionate adventure buddy for the right family. ❤️
