Meet Winston! 🐾

If you’re looking for a best friend who can keep up on adventures but is just as happy relaxing by your side, Winston might be your perfect match!

Winston is a sweet, affectionate boy who absolutely loves people. He’ll greet anyone willing to say hello with full-body wiggles and a happy tail. He enjoys sniff-filled walks, settling down for some quiet time, and chewing on his favorite toys. While he’s generally an easygoing guy, loud cars and motorcycles can make him a little uneasy.

Winston would thrive in a home that offers a balance of activity and relaxation. He’s always up for a nice long walk, but he’s equally content spending the day snoozing nearby while keeping an eye on his humans. One of his cutest habits is wanting to supervise whatever you’re doing—he loves simply being part of the family.

He’s incredibly food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. Winston already knows that outside is the place to potty, has started developing a nice recall on a long line, and is making great progress with loose-leash walking. He can get excited when he spots another dog, but he’s learning quickly and improving every day. He’s also wonderfully respectful around mealtimes and knows to stay out of the kitchen while food is being prepared.

Winston has been a quiet houseguest. He rarely barks, usually only if he hears an unfamiliar or spooky noise. He’s house-trained, rides well in the car, and is continuing to build confidence with his crate. At bedtime he may whine for about 10 minutes before settling down for a nap.

As for other animals, Winston hasn’t been tested with cats. While he also hasn’t had formal introductions with other dogs, he consistently shows friendly, positive interest when he sees them. He hasn’t been tested with young children either, but given his affectionate, gentle nature, we believe he’d likely do very well with respectful kids.

If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion with a goofy personality, a heart of gold, and plenty of wiggles to share, Winston is ready to meet his forever family.
