Meet Lenny! Lenny is a big boy with an even bigger heart. While we don’t know much about his past, we know Lenny is a loyal dog with a lot of love to give. He loves his humans, especially cuddling up for belly rubs and chin scratches.
At home, Lenny will stick close by your side and would do best in a home where his family is around more often than not. He is currently working on feeling safe in his crate and will need continued reassurance as he can be anxious when his people leave. He is not a big barker. Currently Lenny is living with a toddler and is very gentle and patient with her, even if he doesn’t recognize he’s much bigger than her (like when he tries to climb into my lap).
Outside of the house, Lenny is good on leash, but has high prey drive when it comes to squirrels and rabbits. He is responding well to corrections and would do best with an owner that can continue consistent training. Lenny is interested in dogs of all sizes and is working to manage his energy when he sees other furry friends out on his walks. He has not been tested with cats but given his prey drive introductions would need to be slow and supervised.
