Meet Eight Belles (or also known as Quinn)! 🐾💕

Quinn is an approximately 2-year-old, 25 lb mixed-breed with a big personality and an even bigger heart!

She is an incredibly affectionate little girl who absolutely loves being close to her people. She’s full of energy, has a fun and quirky personality, and loves to play, but she’s equally happy curling up beside you for some cuddles. She really is a sweetheart and has so much love to give!

What Makes Quinn Special

Affectionate and loving: Quinn absolutely adores her people! She loves attention, companionship, and snuggling up beside you. She’s a wonderful little cuddle bug who enjoys being part of the family.

Great with children: Quinn loves the children in our home and has been very sweet and gentle with them. She enjoys their company and has shown a particularly gentle side around them.

Enjoys walks and being active: Quinn loves going for walks and does quite well on leash when walked alone, with minimal pulling. She’s an energetic girl who enjoys playtime and activity but is also happy to settle down and relax with her people afterward.

Excellent crate manners: Quinn is very comfortable in her crate. She settles well and sleeps peacefully through the night in it.

Fun personality: Quinn has such a cute, entertaining personality! She’s playful, energetic, affectionate, and has a way of making you fall in love with her.

What Quinn Is Still Working On

Quinn is still learning her household manners and would benefit from a patient, consistent home willing to continue helping her develop good habits.

House-training: Quinn is not yet fully house-trained. She does best with a consistent potty schedule and supervision. Without regular opportunities to go outside, she may have accidents indoors.

Manners: Quinn can get very excited and jump enthusiastically on people and counters. We’re working on teaching her appropriate greetings, boundaries, and impulse control.

Resource guarding: Quinn has demonstrated resource guarding around other dogs, particularly with food, treats, and chews. We currently feed her separately in her crate and keep the dogs apart when giving treats or chews. We have not established whether she resource guards toward people, so this should be approached with care in her future home.

Other pets: Quinn enjoys playing with other dogs, but her play can become too rough, and she has shown some aggression outside of play. While she was originally timid around our cat, she has started to chase. Due to this, it is recommended that Quinn be the only pet in the home.

Secure containment: Quinn is quite the escape artist! Despite having a fully fenced six-foot yard, she has managed to escape by jumping, digging, and squeezing through openings. She will need secure containment, careful supervision outdoors, and a family mindful of her ability to escape.

Quinn’s Ideal Home 🏡

We believe Quinn would thrive in a loving, reasonably active, cat-free home, preferably as the only pet, where she can receive plenty of attention, affection, and consistency. She would benefit from daily walks, regular playtime, mental stimulation, and continued training. Quinn would do best with someone who has experience with energetic dogs and is willing to work patiently on her house-training, manners, impulse control, and resource guarding.

She has been wonderful and gentle with the children in our home, although supervision around children remains important, particularly around food and during excited greetings.

A Little Note from Her Foster Family

Quinn has truly stolen our hearts. She is such a sweet, affectionate, funny little girl, and we’ve absolutely loved getting to know her. From her playful personality to the way she curls up beside you for cuddles, she has so many wonderful qualities. We believe that with the right family, consistent guidance, and a home suited to her needs, she has the potential to be a wonderful, loving companion.

More than anything, we want to see Quinn happy, safe, and successful in a home where she can be her best self!
