Mater is a 4.5-month-old Great Pyrenees × Pit Bull mix with the sweetest personality and a heart as big as his paws! This handsome boy is an absolute cuddle bug who loves being close to his people and soaking up all the attention he can get.
One of Mater’s best qualities is his wonderful temperament. He has met lots of dogs and has gotten along with every one of them. He respects the specifics dog’s boundaries. He’s playful, friendly, and genuinely seems to love making new four-legged friends.
Mater has also been around kids and done very well. Like any young puppy, he can get a little overexcited when he’s happy, so he’s still learning his manners and how to keep those puppy impulses in check. With some patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, he’ll continue to grow into an amazing companion.
He’s doing great with his puppy basics, too! Mater goes outside to potty and is comfortable in his crate at night, making bedtime a breeze. He’s also incredibly gentle and soft, and he’s already proven that things like baths and nail trims are no big deal—he handled both without any issues.
Mater is still just a puppy, so he’ll need a family who is ready for the fun, goofy, energetic stage of puppyhood and willing to continue helping him learn and grow. In return, you’ll get an affectionate, social, cuddly pup who has all the makings of an incredible family dog.
