Greta was recently busted out of the facility for an afternoon adventure at Fish Creek Park and Inglewood. A little Uncertain about her new circumstance, she began her walk with a tail tucked under. It didn't take her too long to relax and to begin enjoying every smell she could possibly find along the trail. About the time she discovered a deer in the bushes near the trail, she also discovered that she was walking with a human Pez Dispenser. While curious about the deer, she was far more interested in receiving treats.
She walked around the park for about two hours and encountered an extremely reactive dog twice. Greta took cues well, keeping a distance from the dog and did not show signs of becoming reactive herself.
Greta greeted all the humans she met with the warmth of finding a long-lost friend. She may have even auditioned for a foster dad when meeting a man looking to add a second dog to his family. Her warmth and personality shined through!
After a couple of hours of wandering around the park, Greta was whisked away to the neighbourhood of Inglewood to check out the local scene. Once again, Greta was uncertain but was brave enough to visit the local bookstore, winning over some new hearts. The noise and commotion on the streets are not her jam right now and she could not wait to get to the quieter surrounds of the nearby pathway. Her response to unexpected and loud noises was to get the heck out of there as fast as possible.
Greta was a great companion for the afternoon and if she were to enter a beauty pageant, she would win for both her stunning looks and for her congeniality. Photos don't do this girl justice; she is gorgeous both inside and outside!
