Female, 2 years, bully X, 55 lbs

Marlee is a really energetic, people-pleasing, lovable dog who is super affectionate and likes to think she is a lap dog. She gives the best hugs and loves to curl up between people on the couch and watch movies with you. She can be a little timid at first and can spook a bit at sudden movements or loud noises but warms up to you really quickly with some reassurance and scratches.

She is always ready to go on a walk and will patiently wait while you put on her harness and leash. On walks she does tend to pull and lunge at squirrels (and other small animals that aren't dogs) when she sees them, so we're working on getting better about that. Marlee can also get excitable when she sees other dogs walking and tends to bark at them if she can't go over and play but she just wants to make friends! She's a fast learner though as she already understands "sit" and is getting better at "stay".

Marlee is already pretty well house trained (minus a couple accidents) and she's learning how to let us know when she needs to go out. She is good at being left on her own out of her crate (she's not a fan of it) and won't destroy anything, only thing would be to make sure all food is out of reach as she will be tempted to eat it!

Marlee would really benefit from being with a family that has another dog that can help her settle in and learn how to play (she never had toys before and isn't sure what to do with them). She is also good with children, although a bit older may be best as she doesn't always know her own strength when running and playing (she tends to jump out of excitement). Marlee would also do best in a cat free home as she tends to think they're similar to squirrels.
