Female, 5 years, dachshund X

Pop is such a sweet, petite little thing. She is loyal to her person & loves attention.

Pop does best with another dog in the house as she does not like to be alone & can become vocal when by herself. She gets along well with my dog, hasn't played but she co-exists quite well.

She hasn't been around cats since being in my care. I truly believe she would succeed in a very calm household with not being left alone all day.

She sleeps on my bed at night but curled up in a little cat bed that sits on the corner for her. She will come for snuggles when its time to get up.

She goes outside with my dog to do her business but does not alert. She uses a pee pad most of the time now that my area rugs are rolled up. She has only been out for one walk since arriving from sunny Texas, and she did quite well. She just kept following my dog and her little legs tried their best to keep up.

Because of her long back & short legs, she does best with assistance getting up on the couch (doggie stairs or a lift from me). I have to lift her up on my bed and she uses a stool to jump down.

Whoever gets to call Pop(py) their own will get such a truly sweet, sweet dog. She is a beautiful tri-colored, short-haired dachshund. As close to a purebred as any rescue can be.

Pop has a scheduled vet check the first week in November as she has some tooth decay. She eats very small kibble mixed with soft food twice a day. She dances around when her bowl is being prepared.

Pop is being fostered in Calgary.
