Chewy (Kiwi)

Adopted

Description

Male, 2 years, chihuahua X, 14 lbs

Little Kiwi has come a long way from where he was when he arrived in Canada, but he still has some fear. He is still on his leash in the home and still has fear coming towards you but once you have the leash he will follow you where you want to go. He loves going for walks but periodically will stop to take a rest. He has gone around the block, but we are doing short ones for now. He has no interest in other dogs, birds or rabbits. He walks beside you and does not pull. Car rides is where he is most comfortable. He loves going to visit other homes and people and is starting to figure out its safe to play with other dogs but it's going to take some time. Kiwi is house trained and goes outside 3 to 4 times a day. His appetite is amazing and still needs to put weight on. He thinks all his stuffies are meant to be torn apart. His favorite spot to sleep is on the headboard and he kinda gives a little growl if he sees something. The first couple of nights he howled but haven't heard it since. He drops his nuggets in one area so landmines aren't all over the place. Jackets and Jammies are cool but booties are another story. He likes the couch but prefers a window he can look out. Kiwi needs a calm home with no sudden moves or loud noises.

Kiwi is being fostered in Calgary.
