Incoming/Foster Home Found
Female, 1 year, Siberian husky X, 34 lbs
Isla came from the Bakersfield City Shelter. She is incredibly sweet and playful. She has cohabitated with multiple dogs in her pack and does fantastic in playgroups. She is very affectionate and enjoys being loved on by people.
She has shown some issues with resource guarding (food), but has exceptional recall. She is very playful, intelligent, and inquisitive, so an environment that is both physically and mentally stimulating would be ideal for her. We haven’t tested her with cats or children, but she is an awesome girl and deserves a great home!
Once the dog arrives in care, they will go into foster care for 1 week so we can get to know their personalities better. After the first week, we will post their adoption biographies and review adoption applications or announce that the foster provider has adopted them.
At that time, if you would like to be considered in the event they are accepting applications, please fill out an adoption application.
This dog will be arriving from California at the end of September.
