Female, 8 years, German Shepherd X

Kaja (Drifter) is the sweetest girl. She is calm and doesn’t bark! She loves to be with her humans and is happy to nap nearby whether it be working in the office, reading on the couch, or sitting on the porch. She is adjusting to city noises quickly and well, but occasionally loud truck or construction sounds will still spook her momentarily. Kaja is amazing on the leash! She acts like she was born to walk on sidewalks and stays by your side, but watch out for small animals and especially squirrels!

We think Kaja would do best in a slow/medium paced residential home with people to spend time with during the day and a backyard to explore. She is so well behaved inside and is learning our house rules easily. We are now beginning to teach basic commands. Kaja is very friendly towards women but is cautious around men, so any men in her life will have to be extra patient as she is much slower to warm up to them. Recommended no small children or cats - they’re just not her thing. Kaja is a dream-dog-sweetheart and is ready for a forever home that can give her the guidance and affection she needs.
