Wamil is a very inquisitive and outgoing girl, very curious about her new environment.
She is good with other dogs, initiating play with her foster sisters often. Also good with kids (ages 9 and 12). She has seen a cat and wanted to chase at first but was on leash.
Wamil has adapted well to Canada so far and now loves to go for a walk, she pushes in front of her foster sisters and holds her head to the side so she can get her leash on.
Wamil is always excited to say hi and will need a little help with her manors for jumping. She can pull a little when on leash but has already made great progress on leash.
Her listening is a bit hit and miss right now, but it is improving steadily. Working on basic commands and very eager to please.
She enjoys camping, did well on the car ride to and from the mountains (4 hours). She likes to be on some one and cuddle around the fire after a busy day of walks.
Her listening and off leash recall (in fenced environments) continue to improve.
No accidents, Wamil is house trained. She will come and compete for attention with her foster sisters and likes to curl up and cuddle on the couch when she is tired. Wamil likes be where the action is in the house. She likes to stand at the window so she can see what is going on outside on the street.
Wamil has some scars and has been through some rough times. She won't easily go to older men and bicycles are also a trigger for Wamil. With love and patience she will regain her trust in people.
