Female, 1 year, Great Pyrenees/Maremma X

Lucy is a happy 1-year-old Pyrenees/Maremma looking for a hew home. She is happy both indoors and outdoors and loves the snow. She can be shy with new people and will often bark at them, but when she gets to know you, she is a totally different dog. Lucy plays well with other dogs. She currently attends a doggy day care at least once a week and all reports from there are positive. She loves to run and be rough with other dogs. We have no experience with cats or other animals. She will chase deer and elk, but gives up pretty quickly when she realizes she can’t catch them. We recommend she is in a home without cats for this reason. She has a very soft mouth when taking treats. She is slow to warm up to children but will eventually. Older children are recommended as she is young (and large) and can be mouthy. She would benefit from someone who can handle her size and can do some basic training with her.

Lucy is currently in Cranbrook, but can be transported to Calgary/Edmonton.
