Believe it or not....I am Ripley!
I am a 1-year-old female mixed breed (22 lbs). Everybody says I look shorter in person than in photos. My foster mum says that I am disproportionately long for my short legs. Whatever! I am cute, cute, cute!!! I have the best smattering of patches and freckles and an amazing pink freckled nose. My fur (now that it has been washed) is beautifully soft and white. I look like butter-ripple ice cream.
I am so easy going, you can clean my ears, my teeth, toes...anything without me making a fuss.
I love people of all ages, gender, and ethnicity. I am alternately fearful or ferocious around new dogs. Cats...i would really like to chase. Bunnies...weird white things. And squirrels…aren't worth my attention.
My fosters say I am a cat in dogs clothing. If that means I love to cuddle and nap most of the day...then call me a cat! I like to play but in very short spurts and then nap. BARCS says that is normal right now so I may perk up as I was surrendered for being "too playful."
I am completely pee pad trained and excellent walking with a leash. I have amazing endurance on long, long walks...like for two hours without breaking a sweat!
I have wonderful table manners...I don't gobble down my food and I lay in my basket when my family is eating at the table.
I am not really food motivated. Hugs and pets are my love language. That said, I do like some rice on my kibble...it's my comfort food...though some people have suggested that I am spoiled.
I am kennel trained but when my foster mum says "bedtime" I know that means I am locked up for the night and I need patient coaxing to go inside. Once I am there, I howl or bark for a minute or two and then settle down. I am very smart and can unlock a metal crate so I am now in a proper carrier kennel. I have not figured out how to bust out of that but if I try real hard, I can move it around the kitchen.
I am very trainable. If you say NO...I am pretty clear by the second NO what not to do.
The best thing about me is my love for people. I will follow you around. Nap. Repeat. I love playing hide and seek with my foster boy and morning coffee with my foster mum to help her figure out WORDLE. She says she can't solve it without me. I told you I am smart! Most of all, I love just cozying up with people. Make room on your couch cuz here I come!
