Bud is a true Albertan; he does not mind snow or cold weather. His favourite place is at the window watching all the neighbourhood action. He loves to run and go for walks, but he needs some redirection as he gets too excited. Bud does not like cats and can be reactive while on leash. He will need a strong, experienced guardian as he will pull strongly on the leash.

He likes to ride in the car and usually sits on the console. He likes to eat and drink but he never begs for food. He is not a cuddly dog but will sit and lie down beside you. He likes to be pet and being brushed but his humans must do so with caution.

Bud is a great companion. He gets very attached to one person, and he is very protective. He sleeps well on his bed through the night but does not like crate, he cries the whole time. He is house and potty trained.

Bud (Little) does have an issue with touch around his face and does NOT like to receive kisses from his humans. He is a solitary dog looking for a safe place to settle down and call home. Bud reacts negatively when startled from sleep and will try to bite/nip until he realises where he is.

Bud will require regular grooming and does well at the groomers but does not like his paws or face touched too much.

He can be reactive in stressful or high energy situations, so he needs a calm environment to thrive in. He was corrected for digging in the yard and he showed his teeth when he was verbally corrected.
He dog selective so he would probably do best as the only animal in his household.

Bud has some negative behaviours such as nipping or biting, so it is best if there are no small children around. His current home has been working with him and using redirection techniques and happy to report he is getting better, but he will require much more time and training.

We believe Bud will be an awesome companion if you can just give him time, patience, understanding and lots of love and space.
