Elsa recently had 6 puppies much to the surprise of everyone at BARCs! Elsa has been an incredible momma feeding and nurturing 6 roly-poly babies with kindness and firmness when they need to be guided in the weaning process.

Elsa is a sweet loving dog who enjoys hanging on the couch or sleeping in the bedroom with her foster. Elsa was found as a stray but based on some of the manners she has it is likely she has been in a house before.

Elsa walks well on a leash sniffing at things but easily directed when needed, she takes treats politely and has learned to sit to accept her meals.

Elsa is kind to the 3 cats that live in the house with her.

When there is a need to toilet, Elsa will bark or whine at the back door to get out. There have been a few accidents where the foster provider’s have not heard her or been home to hear her.

She has been allowed to be free in the home while people are away without any chewing or other behaviors. The few times when the gate have been left open Elsa has stayed close and was easily called back into the house.

There have been instances of barking when she seems nervous most often with men and with the grandfather in the home, she seems quite nervous about the walker being used.
