Female, 1 year, Australian shepherd X, 53 lbs

Susie is such a good girl! She is smart, learns quick, loves fiercely, is loyal, sticks by your side at all times (in house and out walking/hiking). She loves other dogs and just wants to play with cats so maybe a very slow intro to them would be best. She is great with children, but will jump, even on adults when she misses you. I think she’s giving hugs, but we’re working on her “off” and “down” commands. She does need some training with begging, in the kitchen and at the table. She barks when you leave her but it is short lived. I’ve barely heard a peep out of her otherwise. She would do well in a home with someone who is home all day. She hates the crate but is super smart so training on this might be doable. She was left out of crate while we were at work, and she did just fine! Susie is house trained, but still needs you to be outside with her while she does her business or else she’s just scratching to come back in, missing her humans. She loves walking on the harness (collar not so much) but I think she would stay by your side off leash also. She is up for long hikes and walks but also glad to just snuggle on the couch beside you! Susie would do well with an active family/couple!
