Texas

Adopted

Description

Male, 1 year, Boxer X, 60 lbs

Tex is an absolute lover. He has been amazingly chill in every situation I have put him in. He is a good walker, doesn’t pay much attention to other dogs, just enjoys his time outside. I would consider Tex a Velcro dog, especially when in bed. He is a fantastic snuggler and has very little use for personal boundaries…the closer he can get, the better.

Tex is great around other dogs and has not shown any anxiety or fear of men or children. I have not had him around cats so I can’t say how he would react for certain. I do, however, get the feeling he would either try to play or ignore it all together. He is best described as a happy go lucky kind of dog. He has been given the nickname Olaf because of his friendly, innocent, outgoing, goofy temperament.

He would do best in a home where there was lots of love and attention to give. He does get attached so someone who truly appreciates a dedicated companion/shadow. He is working on his manners to refine them. He can get jumpy and his curiosity can occasionally take over, especially when delicious foods are on the counter. With a little bit of time and patience his manners would improve greatly. He is working on sitting, jumping (this has improved greatly in our short time together) and recall.

Texas is being fostered in Airdrie.
