Hello humans!
My name is Red, but my foster mum calls me Rebel, because I like to be one sometimes! I love playing with my ball and my humans. When she’s home I follow my foster mum everywhere. I’ll even lay on her feet to chew my ball while she does dishes. My favourite game is fetch, but I just discovered a new game that I like very much! I drop my toys behind the couch, foster mum gets them for me, and repeat. Chewing is another beloved pass time of mine. The best is raw bones and balls. But stuffies are fun too, I try to tear them to shreds, so I need tough toys because I have tough jaws. I get my raw bones in my kennel, so I can begin to see my kennel as a good place, full of good experiences. When I’m not fetching or chewing, I’m cuddling. I love to snuggle and snooze next to my person. I roll up into a little doggie croissant.

Hrmmm, what else can I tell you about myself? I have the cutest underbite, but it never gets in the way of meal time (believe me, nothing does!). Though sometimes my jowl will get stuck in it. Makes me even cuter. The icing on the cake is the little curl at the end of my tail. It’s so adorable... I’m kinda a big deal. I can probably adapt to many environments, but I can be anxious and hypervalent when there’s lots going on, so I might like a home that is a little more laid back, with people who will help me work through my anxiety, and won’t leave me alone for long periods, at least initially. I am sure that with time and patience I will learn that you will always come back, and I don’t have to be so scared when I’m left alone. I’m already learning to be okay when my foster mum is in a different room.
I walk very well on a leash, I am a strong boy, but very responsive to signals. My foster mum uses a waist leash, and this has been working very well.

If you wanna know more, please reach out to the amazing people at BARCS! My foster mum says I am the best boy and I deserve the best people, so she’s happy to answer questions and sing my praises.
